One-to-One Technology Initiative

Power Up

Dayton Public Schools' one-to-one technology initiative makes Chromebooks available to every student in grades three through eight during the school day. The computer devices arrived in classrooms in August 2016, following a demonstration project at three pilot schools. Selected classrooms at Dayton Boys Preparatory Academy, River's Edge Montessori PreK-6 School, and Belmont High School were first to integrate one-to-one technology into core subject teaching and learning.

technology initiative

In alignment with the district's academic plan, the one-to-one technology initiative will become part of everyday teaching and learning in reading, math, science, and social studies for all students, including grades nine through 12, in August 2017.
