Teachers at Edison PreK-8 School use the Direct Instruction teaching model to implement the curriculum. In addition to implementation of the district's basic curriculum as outlined in the district's courses of study, Edison Elementary School also implements innovative curricula to support its theme-based program by offering the following classes, special study units, clubs, special programs, etc., that emphasize the school's theme:

• Boy Scout Academic Proficiency program (grades 4-6)
• Foster Grandparents' Program
• Central Statue University Family Life Center (Conflict Management/Leadership)
• New Visions Art Museum

Other Points of Interest

• Uniforms: Pants and skirts are navy blue; shirts and blouses are white. Gym clothing can be navy blue or white shorts, a white t-shirt, and gym shoes. If you have additional questions about uniforms, please call the school.
