Teachers at Franklin Montessori use the Montessori teaching model to implement the curriculum. In addition to implementation of the district's basic curriculum as outlined in the district's courses of study, Franklin Montessori also implements innovative curricula to support its theme- based program by offering the following classes, special study units, clubs, special programs, etc., that emphasize the school's theme:

Very active parent organization, "Families for Franklin," meets monthly.
After school YWCA Child Care.
Parent Resource Center and Lending Library (Open Daily)
Students are in multi-grade level groupings:
Ages 3 - 6: Pre-K, Kindergarten
Ages 6 - 9: Grade Levels 1 - 3

Ages 9 - 12: Grade Levels 4 - 6
Student skill reports replace letter grade report cards.
Teachers work with the same students for a 3 year period.
