Alternative Placement for DPS In-Person Fall Return
The district is planning for ALL students to be in person for the 2021-22 school year.
DPS will not be offering a remote learning option. Our buildings have operated safely and our staff is vaccinated. We are confident that students can safely be educated in person. We are expecting ALL students to return to regular face-to-face instruction in the fall.
If your student has an extraordinary health situation or severe underlying health condition that you feel warrants an alternative placement through the county's remote learning program, please complete this application by April 15, 2021.
If your student is placed in an alternative program, you will be notified of the placement as well as any costs associated with that placement.
- All applications will be reviewed and student records of attendance and success in the current remote program will be taken into consideration for an alternative placement.
- Your student will NOT be placed in an alternative setting if he/she is not currently attending remote learning regularly or if he/she is not having success in the program. The alternative setting is very similar to the current remote program.
- DEADLINE: April 15, 2021
Please fill out the application below if your student has special circumstances that require an alternative to in-person learning. Remember, placement is not guaranteed.
