Free app available for Android and Apple smartphones

Dayton Public Schools is launching a free, innovative new app, now available for Apple and Android smartphones, to help keep parents and community members connected and informed about everything from district announcements to school menus. And to make morning and afternoon transportation easier for DPS families, the new app features Here Comes the Bus, providing real-time information on their children’s school bus location along with push notifications or email alerts when the bus is near.
Parents and community members can use any one of three methods to get the app: Search for “Dayton Public Schools” in the App Store or Google Play, use a link provided, or scan the QR code to access the app download location.

The free download will place dozens of options in the hands of parents who can select schools from which they want to receive announcements and updates. In addition, they will receive district news, photos and calendar information, directory information and email access to administrators.
Once the app is downloaded from the App Store or Google Play, it can be customized by clicking on “Settings” and selecting the school or schools from which you wish to receive information.
