This week we are spotlighting Robert Hunter, Compliance Coordinator for the district!

Robert has been with the district since 2019. His responsibilities include overseeing custodial staff, ensuring all buildings meet city, state and federal codes, ensuring all buildings meet health and safety standards, and that proper cleaning and sanitization are carried out to protect staff and students from COVID-19, among other things.

Although things have been much busier since the pandemic began, Robert says he is happy to have a role in making sure students have a quality environment to learn in, and that all buildings remain safe and sanitary.

“These kids need us,” he said. “We should want to create an environment conducive to learning for them. No matter what your role in the district is, the important thing is to give students a pleasant learning experience.”

Robert’s nominator said he is always dependable and is determined to keep things moving forward despite the circumstances the district is facing.
