Challenger Learning Center continues to gain national recognition

The Dayton Public Schools Challenger Learning Center was recognized by the International Organization of Challenger Centers at their annual conference this month in San Antonio. The Dayton CLC was recognized for outstanding achievement among the school-based centers for “Flying the Most Missions,” “Flying the Most Students,” “Training the Most Teachers in STEM,” and increasing the number of missions flown by at least 10 percent. The Dayton Challenger Center serves grades PreK-1, 3-4, 5-8 and high school using space-themed simulated learning and role-playing strategies to cultivate problem solving, critical thinking, communication and teamwork skills.
