Bullying
Dayton Public School District is committed to providing a safe, positive, productive, and nurturing educational environment for all students. In support of this commitment, acts of harassment, intimidation, or bullying toward a student or staff member are strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated on school property, a school bus, or at any school-sponsored event/activity. For more information, see the District’s Board Policy [Code JFCF | Code JFCF-R].
For any individual who has reported that he/she has been threatened, intimidated, or harassed more than once by one or more individuals, an investigation will be completed. This investigation may include, but is not limited to, meeting with building administration, student, and parent/guardian of the victim and transgressor. If a student is found guilty of bullying, he/she may be subjected to disciplinary consequences which may include possible suspension, expulsion, and legal action. Appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against anyone found to provide false or misleading statements concerning acts of bullying.
