College Credit Plus & DPS University

COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS & DPS UNIVERSITY

College Credit Plus (CCP) is a program that provides students with the opportunity to earn college credits during high school for free

In place of regular high school classes, students can take college courses and earn credits that can be transferred to colleges and universities after graduation.

To participate in CCP, students must complete the Intent Form and return it to their high school counselor no later than April 1st. This form is available at high school CCP informational sessions, through high school counselors, and online here.

For more information, students should talk to their high school guidance counselor.

DPS University (DPSU) is an accelerated academic program that supports students in achieving high levels of academic success at Thurgood Marshall STEM High School and Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. Students who qualify will begin taking college-level courses in their freshman year of high school. Each year DPSU students will be encouraged to take an increasing number of Sinclair Community College courses through Ohio’s College Credit Plus (CCP) program.

These college courses are free to students and families. Students who most successfully move through the DPSU program will have the opportunity to receive an Associate Degree from Sinclair Community College while they are also completing their high school graduation requirements.

First Steps for Participation in DPS University:

  1. Student and Guardian sign a CCP Intent Form and a Mature Content Form
  2. Student applies online to Sinclair Community College: www.sinclair.edu
  3. Students take the Sinclair placement test
