District preschool programs meet the highest standard of quality to prepare young learners
Four more Dayton Public Schools preschools have now earned Ohio’s highest Five-Star Step Up to Quality Award for providing the highest level of quality for young children. They are Charity Adams Earley Girls Academy, Louise Troy, Meadowdale PreK-6 and River’s Edge. Those schools join 14 other DPS preschools already named five star preschools including Belle Haven, Cleveland, Eastmont, Edison, Fairview, Horace Mann, Kemp, Kiser, Rosa Parks Early Learning Center, Ruskin, Valerie, Westwood and World of Wonder at Residence Park.
Step Up To Quality is Ohio’s rating system that awards one to five stars to learning and development programs that go above and beyond minimum licensing standards. Star-rated programs lay the foundation for children’s learning and development and build skills that are important for success in school and in life.
Programs with star ratings:
- Have highly trained teachers
- Develop children’s school readiness skills
- Are committed to continuous improvement
- Value relationships with families and communities
