The Dayton Public School District’s Public Information Office received several awards in the 2020 National School Public Relations Association Awards Competition (NSPRA).

NSPRA is a nonprofit professional association and is considered the leading organization for school communicators in the United States. The group’s mission is to advance education through responsible public relations and communication that leads to success for all students. 

The most notable recognition is the Golden Achievement Award for the PIO’s work to communicate and implement the district’s Be Present for a Better Future attendance campaign. 

Individual awards have one of three designations: Excellence, Merit and Honorable Mention.
