For Immediate Release

The reward for information that leads to the conviction of the individual who attacked a second-grade student on the playground of World of Wonder PreK-8 School on May 6, 2016 has exceeded its goal. The Dayton Airport Hampton Inn donated $5,000 to the fund. Hampton Inn officials hope the reward will prompt anyone with information about the crime to step forward and talk with authorities.

Dayton Public Schools is working with Crime Stoppers, who will communicate the latest information to the public and receive tips anonymously on their hotline: 222-STOP.

Individuals who have information about the suspect are asked to call Crime Stoppers. Citizens who wish to contribute to the reward fund are asked to send checks to the following address:

DPS Treasurer
c/o Reward Fund
115 S. Ludlow St.
Dayton, OH  45402

The Dayton Public Schools community believes that a crime against a DPS student is a crime against the Dayton community at large. The district looks forward to a swift capture and conviction.
