For Immediate Release

Students in grades 7 and 12 must have shots before August 16
Ohio Law and the Ohio Department of Health require certain immunizations for all incoming seventh and 12th-grade students. Incoming seventh-graders must receive a Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough booster) and a meningitis immunization. Students entering twelfth grade must have a meningitis immunization after their 16th birthday.
Parents are required to provide the school with written proof of the Tdap and meningitis vaccinations from a doctor or clinic. The shots are required to be administered before the first day of school on August 16. Without the required shots, students will be excluded from the first day of class.
