Ceremonial signing event for Clois Williams, Jr. set for Friday

WHAT: 
Football standout Clois “C.J.” Williams, Jr. will take the spotlight for a ceremonial signing to play football at Georgetown College. Williams officially signed during National Signing Day on Feb. 3. Meadowdale now wants to give him school-wide recognition for all of his accomplishments. He was a four-year starter for the Lions having played wide receiver and defensive back. C.J. made 68 career catches for 1,019 yards with 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He was named the 2015 Team MVP, First Team All-SWOPL and First Team All-Southwest District on defense. He is the first Meadowdale player to sign for college on National Signing Day.

INFO:
Williams heads to Kentucky to play for the Mid-South Conference East Division Champion Georgetown Tigers. Coach Bill Cronin has a 176-19 winning record at Georgetown. Williams is one of 40 rookies from seven states in Georgetown’s 2016 signing class. Meadowdale has 12 players since 2012 who went on to play college football.
