Annual brunch and concert series a popular fund-raiser

Spend a relaxing morning enjoying delicious food and award-winning local young talent this February!

Coco’s Bistro, 250 Warren St., will host “Savor Your Sunday,” a special brunch series featuring performances by young musicians from Stivers School for the Arts. The restaurant will be open especially for the occasion. This is the ninth year for the popular event.

This year, the Fernand Leger painting, Les Trois Musiciens, is the featured art. This 17-ft.-by-14-ft. rendition was painted live by Stivers visual arts students while onstage at Stivers Celebrates, the school’s annual winter showcase.

A different group from Stivers will perform each Sunday. The schedule is:

Feb. 7: Stivers strings

Feb. 14: Stivers choir

Feb. 21: Stivers jazz

Feb. 28: Stivers pianists

Reservations for seatings between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. can be made by calling Coco’s at 228-COCO (2626). Cost is $30 per person; $15 of this is a tax-deductible donation to the seedling Foundation, which supports the arts at Stivers.

All funds raised during the Sunday brunches will support arts instruction at the school.
