Annual brunch and concert series a popular fund-raiser

     Spend a relaxing Sunday morning this February enjoying delicious food and the music of award-winning local young talent!
     Coco’s Bistro, 250 Warren St., will host “Savor Your Sunday,” a special brunch series featuring performances by young musicians from Stivers School for the Arts. The restaurant will be open especially for the occasion. This is the tenth year for the event.
     This year, the Henri Rousseau painting, “The Sleeping Gypsy,” is the featured art. The 17-ft.-by-14-ft. rendition was painted live by Stivers visual arts students while onstage at Stivers Celebrates, the school’s annual winter showcase.
     A different group from Stivers will perform each Sunday. The schedule is:
Feb. 5: Stivers jazz
Feb. 12: Stivers strings
Feb. 19: Stivers chamber choir
Feb. 26: Stivers concert pianists
     Reservations for seatings between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. can be made by calling Coco’s at 228-COCO (2626). Cost is $30 per person; $15 of this is a tax-deductible donation to the seedling Foundation, which supports the arts at Stivers. 
     All funds raised during the Sunday brunches will support arts instruction at the school.
