–    School supply drive to benefit children in West Africa

The Dunbar Early College High School National Honor Society is collecting school supplies for students in Ghana, West Africa. Their service project is currently underway through Oct. 19. You can donate any school supplies, but there is a real need for paper, pencils and scissors. The supplies will be donated to students at Dominion International School. Organizers say the project expands the students’ awareness of poverty around the world. Drop off a donation at Dunbar, 1400 Albritton Dr., Monday through Wednesday, Oct. 17 — 19, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. For more information, contact Trischelle Campbell at 542-6819.

The hospital hosts selected students for one year to help train them for future employment. This is the fifth year Grandview has participated.
